Each Step Outside Guide contains a delightful day-long trail through London. Some focus on a particular area and some look at themes throughout the city. The beautifully illustrated pages contain a mix of things to see, fascinating facts, quirky ideas and silly bits of fun.
It's a great idea to read the Guide before you set out. ‘How to use your Guide’ on pages 6-7 suggest what to take and has all sorts of information about where you will be visiting.
Your Guide will show you good places to have a picnic or a break, step-free access information - and where all the free toilets are!
Off we go! Each route starts and ends at a tube station. Some routes are walking and some involve bus rides too, but we've taken great care to explain and map the route so you can't get lost!
Simply follow the Guide. Children who can read can lead, and we'll show you all sorts of hidden treasures, as well as the big London sights. You can take loads of photos to remember your day out, and if you want to send them to us we'll be delighted to see them, and to put them in our gallery.
When you’re home again, why not send us your pictures and feedback?
You can tell your friends about the guides, post about them on Facebook or Tweet about them.
When it’s time for a break, have a sit down at one of the spots your Guide recommends. The 'rest-your-legs' pages give you all sorts of things to do while you’re taking a breather.
